I've been SO busy, it feels like its been years since I have cooked something. Poor planning on my part, as well as a somewhat apathetic attitude. I have research papers due (actually, submitted two nights ago), group projects thrown out at the last minute, back-to-back French and Spanish final exams, a take-home exam for African-American History that involves eeh-gads of reading/writing, meetings once a week with a counselor (with whom I discuss, for the most part, my frustration with my cluttered and tiny apartment), and now banjo lessons -- yes, banjo -- once a week. I've ordered in, opted for yoghurt w/ granola, and even had my 'fella make frozen pizzas, in lieu of a little me-time in the kitchen, cooking up goodies for the week (or even the night). I ate Subway, and I'm not proud of it. I even ate a doughnut one night. A bad doughnut... genetically-modified, I'm sure, which sat like a rock in my stomach.
So... I leave you once again with little more than hope... that I will do better this weekend, and next week. That I will regain my inspiration and fervor. That I will stop resorting to grubhub.com 3/7 days a week.
I want to make Pride Pancakes. I want to roast a chicken (big enough for several lunch/dinner leftovers!). I want, I want, I want... a little time to just relax in my (tiny, cluttered) kitchen. Le sigh...
